Insightin is a comprehensive software system for systematic learning.
A screen or a page in Insightin consist of Menu Pane,Context Bar,
Progress Bar,Status Bar, and Content Area (Figure 1).
Insightin is context sensitive. What you see in the Content Area depends on
the context indicated in the Context Bar.
There are two types of pages or screens in Insightin: content page and support page.
A content page holds one knowledge element of the structured content.
A content page is created by the user or learner.
A content page is editable. Support page is generated by Insightin and can't be edited.
Most menu items on the menu pane points to a support page.
Home points to a content page. Content page and support pages will be explained in other sections of the User Guide.

Menu Pane
- Home display the starting page of content in Insightin.
- Bookmark show a list of bookmarked nodes in current context.
- Recent show a list of most recently added nodes in current context.
- Glossary display alphabetic index of glossary.
- Search search current context, all context or electronic dictionary.
- Add add a new content node.
- Exercise a list of exercises within current context.
- Repeat a list of items within current context to be repeated today.
- Progress show weekly list of learning content (not context-sensitive).
- Print print the current page if it isn't disabled.
- Help help file for using Insightin
- Register appears only in trial version of the software. It takes you to the registration page at http://www.insightin.com.
- Settings system settings.
Context Bar pages (or nodes) in Insightin are structured in a tree-like
hierarchy. Context bar shows where the current page is in the overall hierarchy.
Progress Bar show the progress while loading a HTML document.
Status Bar show the URL if the mouse is moved over to a HTML link.
Content Area
- Title Bar title of the current page.
- Backward Button go back to previous page in the page history list.
- Forward Button go to next page in the page history list.
- Content Pane show the content of the current page.
